Arkwright Engineering Scholarship

The Arkwright Engineering Scholarship is the most prestigious scholarship of its type in the UK to inspire and nurture school-age students to be the country’s future leaders of the Engineering Profession. The scholarship provides a £600 to each Scholar and £400 to support STEM activities within their school. More importantly, Scholars receive mentoring from a professional engineer and enrichment opportunities. Following a rigorous selection process, we have had in recent years four of our students successfully gain an Arkwright Scholarship.  This year three of our applicants successfully made it to the interview stage a great achievement in itself. Two of these students passed the Arkwright interview to become Arkwright Associates and if suitable sponsors can be found, will be granted a full Scholarship.

Arkwright Engineering Scholarships is a Smallpeice Trust (a registered charity) programme and relies on the generosity of donors to enable them to provide Scholarships. If you would like to find out more about how you can become a Benefactor, Mentor or Sponsor please contact

Our two perspective Scholar candidates are particularly interested in the areas of Civil engineering, computer engineering and robotics.
