Hello, my name is Harriet and I am a school captain here at St. George's. I am studying Maths, Further maths, Chemistry and Physics at A level and hoping to go onto study Engineering at University. I love to get involved with all aspects of school life especially playing for the lacrosse 1st team, braving the mud during the cross country season and enjoying the summer sunshine on the athletics track. I am passionate about everything that St. George's stands for and hope in the coming year I can inspire many people to get involved and be as proud as I am to be a Georgian.
Hi. I’m Harry and I’m one of the two School Captains here at St George’s. I am studying Mathematics and Further Mathematics, as well as Physics and Geography with the hope to go on and study Mechanical Engineering at University. Being an avid rugby player, I love representing St George’s 1st XV whilst also participating in the School’s Debating Society and occasionally playing the trombone in School’s Jazz and Wind Bands. We have a fantastic year ahead of us, and I thoroughly look forward to help bring the St George’s community closer with my fellow School Captains, and encourage us to “Aim Higher” together.
Hello, I’m Becky and I am the Deputy School Captain here at St Georges. I am currently studying Biology, Geography and Graphic Art at A Level with the aim to go on to study Geography at University. I thoroughly enjoy representing St Georges’ 1st team in Lacrosse and Netball, playing the Saxophone and competing for Goddard in many house events. The year ahead is very exciting, especially with such a fantastic group of Senior Prefects. I look forward to working in the Executive Team to leave a positive legacy for the school.
Hello, my name is Henry and I feel very fortunate to have been selected as one of your Deputy School Captains for the coming year! I’m studying Physics, Chemisty and Maths, and hope to go on to read Physics at University in the future. I am thoroughly looking forward to the challenges this year will bring, working with the rest of the Executive Team to promote St. George’s as the fantastic community it is!
We’re Ben and Kelly and we are the new Boarding Captains representing Crosthwaite, Keswick, and Skiddaw Houses as well as the boarding community as a whole. Kelly has been at the school for three years but Ben is new as of this year, bringing fresh ideas to the table whilst retaining old Georgian values to ensure we are doing the best job we can. We are excited for the opportunity to organise annual boarding events and improve the boarding experience, as well as working closely with the rest of the Senior Prefect team and the boarders to build an even stronger bond between the boarding houses and the school.
Hello, we are the new Goddard House Captains, Maisie Ben Sarah and Miles. We are extremely excited to be working together with the best house, and cannot wait to get stuck in to every house event and opportunity which will allow Goddard to flourish as a community. We aim to get every year 7 to year 13 working together to produce the best year for the house.
We are Henry, Lucy, Ben and Mai and we will be the Grant House Captains in the forthcoming year. We are delighted to have been given this opportunity to represent our house and we look forward to our future as Grant's Senior Prefects. Our hope for this year is to bring the house together and form the best team around. This year we believe that Grant House can become victorious again - for the first time in 15 years! Together, we can accomplish this through our seamless teamwork and use of everyone's talents - from amazing artists to champion chess players - everyone in Grant House has something to offer. To quote High School Musical "We're all in this together!"
We are your Monk House Captains for 2018/2019 – Lucy, Stevie, Niamh and James.
As a team, we are proud to represent a house that has so many defining qualities – from sport to music and everything in between, Monk House is a place for students to grow, learn, and thrive. We are working with our Head of House, Mr Robertson and Deputy Mrs Chalkley in order to make this year the best one yet.
We will be working hard this year to retain the Chapman Cup for more than 24 hours, but there will still be time for some “monkey-ing” around!
“A school does not exist to send out men and women solely to play a part in life whereby they achieve a competence and honourable life of useful work and even a modicum of fame, but it exists to send out for posterity and for their own generation, men and women who by their character shall leave the society in which they live the better for their presence and hence the world much nearer the Kingdom.”
-Dr. A. H. Watts, second Head Master-
Hi! We are Sam, Maddie, Isaac and Emily and we are very proud to be the new Watts House Captains. As a team, we strive to encourage our fellow Wattonians, to help them discover their individual importance. By utilising our own unique strengths, we aim to support and care for students not only in Watts House but across the school. Being enthusiastic and a hardworking bunch we will go the extra step to ensure that we trump all the other houses and return the Chapman Cup to its rightful home!
