Red Tractor ‘Mmmake Make It With Mince’ competition

For the past 2 years we have reached the finals of the ‘Mmmake It With Mince’ competition.

The competition is open to all 11-16 year olds in the country. The pupils have to submit their own recipe using beef or lamb mince. The objective is to show how versatile mince is and the pupils have to develop a recipe idea and cook it from scratch.

At St. George’s the competition is run during the after school Food Club and it is open to all pupils regardless of whether they are studying Food Technology.

The competition will run again in 2013 so get designing. Let’s hope we can make it to the finals for the 3rd year in a row. Perhaps we can have a national winner as we did with the Active Kids Get Cooking competition in 2011.
