Welcome to the Staff Vacancies Section of St George’s VA School Website.
School Description
St George's is an oversubscribed traditional co-educational 11-18 main day and boarding school with approximately 1300 pupils including 370 in our academic Sixth Form and 130 boarders. St George's is acknowledged as one of the top 10% of the country's all ability schools. In September 2001 we achieved Specialist Technology Status and Modern Foreign Language Specialism in February 2009. The school was rated as outstanding by Ofsted in October 2007. As a Christian Foundation St George's expects high personal standards from its staff and all staff are expected to contribute to the extra-curricular life of the school and to support our Christian Foundation. The successful candidate will have the privilege of working with a dedicated staff, enthusiastic pupils and supportive parents and Governors. St George's has excellent facilities and in September 2008 completed a £7.8m. Building programme to provide a Sports Centre and Modern Languages Centre. Further recognition of the School's pre-eminence is the opening of our sixth form Boarding House and being awarded International School Status (2009), Confucius Status 2010.
