The theme for 2012 was ‘A family Favourite’ The quality of the food was brilliant and there was such a variation in the product choices.
The overall winner was Susannah Lawford from Monk House with Paella with Spanish Tapas which not only tasted delightful but demonstrated high level skill.
Ben Jenkins from Goddard House was a close contender producing Spiced Butternut Squash Ravioli with Herb Butter Dressing and Chicory Salad. The pasta was cooked to perfection. The flavours in the spiced butternut squash, basil and ricotta ravioli were magnificent but not overpowering. All of the judges were blown away with this product.
The overall winning house in the middle school was Goddard.
